Why We Started
LaCress Chaperones was founded in 2025 by Lawrence Cresswell, DO, JD, a board-certified emergency medicine physician who also holds a juris doctorate and has extensive experience in medical regulation and misconduct investigations. After years of seeing gaps in accountability and patient protection within healthcare, he launched LaCress Chaperones to address a critical need: ensuring patient safety while eliminating conflicts of interest in chaperone services.
